Picked this up yesterday passing though Liberty Village. Dispensary was called Canvas Cannabis and is really close to Exhibition GO in Toronto.
If you've smoked BLK MKT before you can usually expect great looking buds that pack a dank punch. BLKMKT is one of the brands that does a lot of R&D into the packaging of their products to ensure it delivers the intended experience to customers as it was meant too. Are they expensive? - Yes. Top brands typically have higher price tags. Glass jars seems to be their preferred methods of packaging flower and for good reason, plastic jars leak terpenes!
Speaking of terpenes, Gastro Pop caught my attention when the budtender mentioned the Terpene Total percentage was 3.5%. That is above average terpene counts in this market in my opinion and sufficed to say Gastro Pop did not disappoint. The lineage on this strain is Apples and Bananas x Grape Gasoline. The aroma smells delicious upon opening - fruity, funky-gas which I found very appealing. 5-6 buds make up the entirety of the 1/8th. The colours on the triched up flower stand out instantly - Darker coloured purple buds for sure with orange pistols. If I had to guess based off the effects I felt, I would think Gastro Pop is an Indica-Dominant Hybrid. The THC listed at 26% with a packaging date of June 26th.
The only homework on this cultivar I would have is in regards to the Ash. I found it to be a little Salt and Peppery.
Bag weight was 3.59g - happy with that.
Top Terpenes: Myrcene, Ocimene and Caryophyllene
Otherwise I enjoyed and would definitely buy again!
